Of course it’s that weekend... the weekend of pre-holiday sales and shopping mayhem. Thus follows the obligatory reminder that my Holiday Sale ends soon... however, I extended it through Cyber Monday, in honor of Jupiter’s ingress in Capricorn on Monday. Click here!
Escorting Venus, who recently joined in Capricorn. are Pholus, Hylonome, Chariklo (a centaur and Chiron’s wife), Saturn, Pluto, south node and Quaoar (a dwarf planet), and given Jupiter’s ingress on 2 December, it might be time to dive deeper for a few other thoughts pearls about Capricorn - more bounty that drips from the cornucopia that is Capricorn.
Consider the mountain goat. The goat climbs higher than most creatures, not only to safety, but where the view is the best - place where perspective can be restored. The goat expertly traverses rocky crags, leaping from boulder to boulder, often over wide chasms with what appear to be fearless regard for safety. It is worth noting that Capricorn and the word “capricious” share the first six letters. Is this why the mountain-climbing goat demonstrates such whimsy in leaping and climbing?
Actually whimsical is but one synonym for capricious. The other Merriam-Webster synonyms are: “changeable, changeful, fickle, flickery, fluctuating, fluid, inconsistent, inconstant, mercurial, mutable, skittish, temperamental, uncertain, unpredictable, unsettled, unstable, unsteady, variable, volatile... none of these words seem to go with the tried, true, methodical and stayed nature assigned to Capricorn.” Feel free to cull, or at least evolve way beyond any such associations that do not match your ideal social media platform.
The goat’s ascent to the greatest vantage around may appear flighty, unpredictable or mercurial, but in all actuality the goat possesses a distinct confidence in its intrinsic leaping skill, and one might imagine, a clear objective of destination. A goat makes no bound it does not know it can transact. Since these assessments tend to occur instinctively, it may appear that the goat is spontaneous, and with the disposition to change the trajectory on a whim on the path to avoid difficulties enroute destination.
There is one aspect of Capricorn clearly known for impulse. On the solstice, immediately preceding Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa under the realization that holiday shopping is not yet done, a Capricorn may seek to fulfill festive responsibilities with impulse buying, justified by the fact that expensive items go on sale immediately before the holiday. Fortified by Jupiter this year, the impulse/abundant buying this year might surprise those projecting scanty sales for this holiday season and the consumerism extravaganza that typically closes out a year.
Here’s another thing about Capricorn: it is uber sensitive. That’s right, it might even surpass the sensitivity thresholds generally reserved for Pisces. With all this Capricorn planetary stimulation flying through the zodiac this holiday season, waning days of this year might function more emotionally than most. While you surprise yourself watching a sappy holiday movie with a stash of Kleenex, or when you reflect on all the good that has happened in your life, attribute the warm rushes to heartfelt reactions to Capricorn.
Actually, soaking in the sensitivities of the season is a very good thing indeed. Yes, 2020 is noted to be intense, culture changing, global sensibility shifting. Some have this written off 2020 with Saturn and Pluto aligning to be the end of the world. Nope. Saturn won’t let people off that easily and Pluto digs in his heels to ensure that everyone feels everything they need to feel prior to personal evolution. One thing Pluto is really good at: pulling out the stops. Have those feelings without reserve. This is a super, super season of sensitivity, sentimentality and who knows, the feelings might carry over to start 2020 with enhanced empathy, compassion and consideration.
So feel the good as we close on the last month of the year. Express all good feeling without reservation. Be full of high-quality, super-charged awesome feelings that stir the soul going into this next year. Be one of those who carefully says, “Bring it on,” fully realizing that such a proclamation is not a challenge to the Universe to bestow unlimited intensity. The declaration originates within the inner knowing of confidence, full sentient awareness and an acute assessment of competence and capability.
And remember, no self-respecting Capricorn leaps before looking. When they leap, they are confident of a solid landing. Here’s to solid landings and significant progress as Jupiter guides us all through Capricorn’s intended betterment and enhancement.
